The interim coach of Italian national team Luigi Di Biagio has managed to convince Gianluigi Buffon to play several friendly matches for his country. The 40-year-old goalkeeper has changed his mind to retire at the end of the season and intends to play before the European Championship in 2020.
Buffon wants to improve Paolo Maldini`s record for the number of Serie A matches via upcoming football events (647) and surpass the achievement of the Egyptian Ahmed Hassan with the number of entries for the national team (184).
